Brevard College seeks a highly motivated, dynamic, and goal oriented Admission Counselor to join its recruitment team.   Individuals in this position will represent the College in all aspects of the recruitment and the admissions process including, but not limited to, recruitment travel, research-based management of a geographic territory, extensive follow-up communication, presentations to campus visitors, application review, admission decisions, and counseling of prospective freshmen and transfer students.   Individuals will be expected to meet and exceed departmental enrollment goals and relate well with parents and family members of prospective students.  

Qualifications include sales experience, outstanding public speaking skills, excellent writing skills, organizational and analytical skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to articulate the value of a liberal arts education. For recruiting purposes, candidates must be able to work some non-traditional hours including evenings, weekends and extensive overnight travel during peak recruiting seasons.   Strong candidates will be self-motivated individuals who are competitive and capable of working both independently and within a team.   A bachelor’s degree is required.   Desired qualifications include 1 – 2 years of admissions or sales experience.   A valid driver’s license including a clean driving record is also required.
