Classification:
Full-time, 40+ hours per week
Description:
The
team member in this position is responsible for a broad range of written
marketing materials, including advertising campaigns and collateral pieces
associated with marketing businesses in the Western North Carolina region.
Scope:
The copywriter works with the
marketing director, client, graphic designer and artistic director to assist in
taking projects from the initial concept stage through completion.
This will include developing headlines and
promotional materials, printed brochures, advertising campaigns, newsletters,
radio/television scripts, and special interest stories.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Examples of key duties are
interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature.
1. Work
with team members to interpret clients’ business needs/objectives, contribute
ideas, and write copy to achieve goals within the communication strategy.
2.
Think creatively to produce new ideas and
meet the constraints of cost, time and client.

one project at a time.

extremely well organized and detail-oriented.
6. Produce
accurate, high-quality work.
7. Work
well in a team atmosphere of designers, marketing specialists, printers,
photographers, and website designers.

Job
Requirements
The
ideal candidate will possess a BA or Associates Degree in Journalism,
Marketing, Communications, or English or have 2 years experience and/or
training in a related field.
The
candidate should be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
