Membership Base
Members are drawn from various businesses and organizations including, but not limited to, advertising and marketing firms, chambers of commerces, local governments, nonprofit organizations, the entertainment industry, free-lancers, health care organizations, manufacturers, school systems, technical colleges and universities, utilities, and tourist attractions.

 

Best of the Mountains Awards

Each year, public relations professionals compete for the PRAWNC Best of the Mountains Awards. Entries are accepted in a variety of categories including PR campaigns, online marketing, publications, multi-media, advertising, web design, and more. Look for the PRAWNC awards announcement during the first quarter of the year. An annual Awards Ceremony is held each year to formally announce the winners in April. 

 

PRAWNC is an independent, informal professional development organization comprised of a variety of public relations, communications, and marketing professionals in the twelve western counties of North Carolina. Membership is also open to students considering related careers. PRAWNC was formed in May 1982 and routinely has a membership of about 100 dues paying members.
